The GS Wellness Policy to Practice project was a two-year project funded by the Kansas Health Foundation designed to promote healthy behaviors in young girls. Our K-State wellness team worked with the Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri Council to help the council's troop leaders set and work towards achieving wellness goals in five categories of health promotion: healthy snacking; physical activity; reduction in time spent sitting; offering water as a beverage; and promoting non-digital social connections.

After the first year of this project, our team decided why not try to promote health and wellness initiatives in troop meetings to ALL scouting programs?! Therefore, we set out to create a webpage to house all of the program materials. Now, your troop can follow along with the individual pages in this section to participate in the wellness promotion program!
